Privacy Policy for Momento: Life

No Account Required

Momento does not require you to create an account. Personal account creation is not part of the app's core use.

Data Stored on Your Device

Entries, notes, photos, audio recordings, tags, collections, and other content you add to Momento are stored locally on your device.

Momento does not automatically upload this personal content to servers operated by the developer. The developer cannot view or access the content stored in your Momento timeline.

Backup and Restore

You may choose to create and restore backups of your Momento data.

Backups are created only when you initiate the backup feature and are saved to a location you select, such as local device storage, iCloud Drive, or another location available through Apple's Files interface.

Momento does not automatically upload backup files to developer-operated servers. Backup files stored outside Momento remain in the selected location until you delete them.

Link Previews

When you save an external link, Momento may access standard metadata associated with that link, such as its title, description, or preview image.

Retrieving this information may involve communicating with the linked website or service. Those services may process technical information such as your IP address according to their own privacy practices.

Momento does not host or redistribute the full content of third-party web pages or videos on developer-operated servers.

Device Permissions

Momento may request access to features such as the camera, photo library, and microphone.

These permissions are used only when you choose to use the related feature and grant access. You can review or revoke permissions at any time through your device settings.

In-App Purchases

Momento may offer optional premium features through Apple's In-App Purchase system.

Payments are processed by Apple. The developer does not receive or store your payment card or billing details. Momento may receive purchase status information from Apple so that premium features can be activated or restored.

Analytics, Advertising, and Tracking

Momento does not use your personal timeline content for advertising.

Momento does not sell your personal data and does not use cross-app tracking for advertising purposes.

Support Communications

If you contact us by email, we receive the email address and information you choose to include in your message.

This information is used only to respond to your request, investigate a reported problem, or provide support. Support correspondence is retained only as necessary for these purposes and any applicable legal obligations.

Data Retention and Deletion

Content stored locally in Momento remains on your device until you delete individual entries, use the app's data deletion feature, or remove the app and its locally stored data.

Backup files exported outside the app must be deleted separately from the location where you saved them.

Because Momento does not require an account and does not store your timeline content on developer-operated servers, there is no online account or server-side timeline data to delete.

You may contact us to request deletion of information you previously sent through a support email, subject to any information that must be retained for legal or security reasons.

Third-Party Services

Momento may interact with Apple services, external websites used for link previews, and storage providers you select for backup files.

Information processed by those services is governed by their respective privacy policies.

Children's Privacy

Momento does not knowingly collect personal information from children through developer-operated servers.

Changes to This Policy

This privacy policy may be updated when Momento's features or privacy practices change. The latest version and its revision date will be published on this page.
